Christmas

The pictures were minimal since we had such a rough night and Tay and I were barely surviving at this point. But I think the kids had a nice morning. Santa somehow managed to come despite everything. Grace missed the line up picture because she was eating.

We got Six Flag passes for everyone so we will enjoy that all year! The kids enjoyed Legos from Grandma/pa Urie and fun Hawaii gifts from Harvey grandparents. Sibling gifts this year were a hit and stockings were stuffed to the brim. Grace loves all her new toys and cute stocking from her first Christmas.

Christmas Eve

We went to lunch at Magnolia since I decided I didn't want to cook and clean. Then to the park and home to watch some Christmas movies. At that point Hy was feeling pretty yucky and Matthias started in as the first food poisoning victim.

Since Matthias was already super sick and Hyrum had a raging fever we read the Nativity story with kids in bed and James acted it out. Then sang a couple hymns and opened jammies. It we a pretty chill evening. I suggested maybe we wait a day and ask Santa to come the next night but Hyrum rose up from his bed and shouted "no!" So we continued forward. :)

First Roller Coaster Ride

We took the kids to Six Flags and Hyrum got to go on his first roller coaster ride. I was a little nervous since you just went with Hannah and I was holding Grace while Taylor was on a ride with the older boys. But he was so excited to get on and had a great time!

When we first got to the park Taylor took the three older kids straight to Iron Rattler so there wouldn't be a line. They didn't really have time to think about what they were getting into so none of them were able to back out. It was super scary and Taylor says one of the steepest roller coasters he's been on. Really fast and it corkscrews almost upside down. They had a blast but none of them wanted to go on it again.

The whole trip was a lot of fun just a quick five hours and then we went to Freddys for hamburgers and milkshakes before driving home. Pretty perfect day!

Sewing Lesson

Matthias and Hannah have been begging me to teach them how to sew for ages. Finally we decided to make Halloween pillows after school one day. We all had a lot of fun and they were super happy with the finished products. We have plans to make some scarfs in November!

Preschool For Hyrum

Hyrum started preschool in October at the Y. He goes twice a week for two hours and loves it. Pretty sure what is most exciting to him is that he gets to pack a lunch when the big kids pack theirs in the morning. This two teachers Miss Amanda and Miss Hannah are a lot of fun and he loves playing with the kids in his class. Since it's October they've been doing tons of Halloween crafts so he also thinks everything is just for his birthday. He's getting so grown up!!

4th of July

We went to the Tarrytown parade in the morning. It was 15 minutes long which was awesome and the kids got plenty of candy to make them happy. For lunch we had to Phil's icehouse for burgers and root beer.

Relax most today the Barlow's came over for pizza dinner and to hang out.then we walked down to the Marbridge to watch the fireworks over Lady Bird Lake. It was a longer walk than we thought but everyone had a lot of fun.

We kept hoping all day that Grace was coming for her holiday birthday but she did not make an appearance. Still it was a really fun day and glad the Barlow's could come down too!

Grace Arwen

Grace was born July 8, 2015 at 3:03 am. She was 9 lbs 6 oz and 21 inches long. Labor was long and hard. First six hours really random contractions and still not sure if true labor. Last six hours very rough, back labor, and just hard.

She wasn't breathing on her own when she came out so needed some resuscitation. Very scary moment but she perked right up and is doing great.

So happy she is here with us now. We have been excited for our baby Grace to join our family.
