Shingle People

Last Monday we had a giant wind storm that blew everything everywhere. We lost a lot of shingles off our roof and they blew all over the yard. Matthias and Hannah collected a bunch and used rocks to scrap them into shapes for these shingle people. Pretty cute and creative!

Hannah's 4th Birthday

My baby girl turned 4 this year. Can't believe she is so grown up. I was just telling her the other day that I picked out her name when I was just 11 and was waiting for my first baby girl to name her Hannah Mae. And now she is already 4. This girls makes me laugh, smile, cry, and go crazy. We can be the best of pals. When we aren't annoying each other. She's so much fun to have around. I need someone to be girly with and she is all about girly. 

She's had a little bit of a rough time getting used to Hyrum. At first he was all she ever hoped...a cute little baby to play with and hold and coo over. Then after a couple months she started getting a little aggressive towards him and pretty angry towards Taylor and I; up to all kinds of antics. But she has made her peace and they are really great buds. She loves him and he of course adores her. 

Right now she is having lots of fun staying home with me all the time. We have a great time together cleaning the house, running errands, going to the park and playing with Hyrum. We like to play kitchen and house together. She likes to read and play itouch whenever she gets a chance. And she is a great drawer and loves to make pictures.

For her birthday she got a princess fairy barbie from Gma H, some legos from Gma U. We gave her a dress I made, Tangled puzzle we bought 2 years ago =] and my very favorite of all that I've been dying to give her...I made a new "magic blanket" for her that is just like her old one and so soft! and cuddly. She was ecstatic!

Love this little girl. 

Matthias

One thing I would like to remember about Matthias is he loves to color. He will sit at the table for hours and draw pictures with just paper and a pencil. Depends on what he is into, but lately the pictures have been of Soosiz, Tiny Monsters, etc. People often wonder that Matthias can really sit still for hours at a time doing anything. But the funny part about it is he will be sitting at the table drawing and then all of a sudden he will jump up, run around the room, do a flip on the couch and then run back to the table, sit down and draw some more. =] He makes me laugh.

Hyrum's Blessing

Hyrum had his blessing on February 3. He was the oldest of all our kids when blessed plus he loves arching his back so Taylor held him sitting up with a grandpa on either side holding his arms. =]

It was a great blessing and we wrote down a lot of what was said and put in his baby book. Once again lots of family attended since it was the same weekend as James' baptism. 

James' Baptism

James was baptized last weekend on February 2 and it was a great experience. We had so much fun with all the family that came out. Both sets of grandparents and all my sisters were able to come and it was a big party all weekend since we also had Hyrum's blessing. I'm so proud of James and all he is accomplishing. He was really excited to get baptized. My mom brought him a binder with some family history so he was able to learn about some of his ancestors and start his own records. He wrote in his journal about his feelings. Since he is a January birthday he was the first in his primary class to get baptized. 

Family

Fun weekend with walks, playing pounce, lots of ice cream, homemade pizza, deli sandwiches, ipad playing and tons of fun! And of course the baptism and blessing!
