Hyrum 6 months

Hyrum Maxwell Bryan Harvey

6 months old

18 lbs, 27 inches

Still waking up at night to eat little stinker. Loves to sit up all the time. He loves sitting next to Hannah's kitchen and banging the dishes around. Hyrum loves to be in the middle of anything the big kids are doing. Just started eating at the table in his booster/high chair and thinks it's great to be with us. Starting to take good naps by himself. Still nursing, only 1 bottle a day. Love this cute little boy. 

Happy Birthday to my Taylor.

I was reading my journal tonight from the first semester of freshman year when Taylor and I were hanging out every day, but absolutely not dating. It was hilarious because like every day I wrote...."Taylor is so cute and nice. Dumb boys."  or "Taylor is so cute and he's always so nice to me. Stupid boys." Seriously a slight variation of that sentence somewhere in practically every entry.

So then I was reading these all to Taylor and laughing my head off and asked him if he kept a journal freshman year to which he replied no. So I lamented that now we'll never know his side of the story. 

And he said, sure we do I would have just written, "Why doesn't she like me? I'm cute and nice. But I'm just so dumb."

Haha. He is so funny and I just love Taylor. He is so cute and nice. 

Hyrum Sits

Hyrum is so delightful these days! He learned to sit and I started feeding him A LOT of solid food and he is the happiest little guy. He loves to sit and play, he makes the cutest baby noises. He has no interested in laying on his stomach now that he can sit so I have high hopes that he will wait to crawl like Hannah. He is just lovely. His naps are going great lately although he still wakes at night crazy boy. Maybe I was remembering all my other kids at this age and blocking out the first 6 months of life...He doesn't laugh a lot yet but we're working on him! And he is smiling more and screaming less and that makes for a happy mommy.

"I am not leaving the store without these shoes." --Kristi

Kristi: Everyone loves these shoes. Every time I wear them everyone says how much they love them.

Taylor: They probably just notice them because they are so colorful. No one looks at shoes.

Kristi: Yes they do. Women look at shoes, so you mean men don't look at shoes. I could tell you what everyone was wearing tonight. I'll forget by tomorrow except my favorite ones. I'll remember them forever.

Taylor: Wow. That's sounds like a horrible waste of brain space. I would actively try to forget that.
