quotes from James...

Time for another round of James' talk...

(after he cut his finger and I got him a bandaid)
James sticks his thumb in Matt's face and says, "Kiss me!"

(while laying in my lap and looking up at me)
"You're beautiful"
(dad has taught him well...)

(Sophie (James' friend) wears Huggies and we saw a Huggies diaper in the parking lot at the swimming pool)
"Uh, oh. Sophie's diaper fall off."

James' and Matt's accomplishments...

James is learning to read and has read several words outloud so far (we don't know how many he is keeping to himself). Of course the first was "binkie" and he has also read gorilla and arrow to us. I found a book titled "How to teach your baby to read" and so far it is working fairly well. Since Matthias needs different words and larger flashcards he won't start learning to read until August or so. (I didn't have time to make 400 flashcards before we came to Utah, so I only made James' 200)

Matthias is now a mover!! He mastered army crawling this past weekend (June 15) and he is quite a pro now, so make sure you keep your small items out of reach because he loves to stick everything in his mouth! His spitting continues at top speed and he now has an eye infection.

We are very proud of both of our boys and think they are the cutest, greatest boys ever!! I would post a video of Matt crawling, but most of y'all will see him in person in just a few short days.

(Consequently our computer achieved a great accomplishment this past week also...being voted slowest computer in the universe!! The Harvey family is really racking up the achievements.)

Big accomplishments all around...

So everyone in the family has managed a large accomplishment this past week and I thought we should all get some recognition!!

I (Kristi/Mom) have made three batches of freezer jam (pictured above) and it is quite delicious. I made peach and strawberry so far. Tomorrow morning the boys and I are picking more blueberries and then I will make some blueberry jam. We are all enjoying the jam and James asks for bread and jam ALL the time!! I also steam cleaned all the carpets in the house and James didn't drop strawberry jam in the study until the next day!! Matthias however continued puking at all opportunities.

Taylor was diagnosed with asthma on Tuesday and now has a couple inhalers and steroids and is not able to sleep at all for coughing...meaning I am also not able to sleep at all...=] We all know Taylor has pretty bad lungs and sinuses so I guess this is just one more problem to add to the rest.

(yes I did paint my laundry room/pantry door orange...we are undecided how we feel about it...)

Tea Party

James as been having a lot of tea parties lately (fruit tea of course), so I thought I would capture it on video. Enjoy!

(P.S. At the end after he trips on Matthias I stop the recording, but he said "Careful Matty"...ha, ha)

Check out my Slide Show!

A few I forgot:

(while pushing Matt)
"Tip over, tip over"

(while "patting" Matt on the back, but 'winding' his arm up about 2 or 3 feet away from Matt's back)
"I burping him."

(while sitting on Matt's back)
"I riding him."

(when asked where Dad works)
"Mobil X"

From the mouth of James:

Below is a list of some things James has said...

(while Matthias is crying his head off)
"Me help you Matt. I Superman."

(while rubbing his chin)
"Whiskers. Me whiskers. Like Grandpa"

(at 8:15pm after Taylor made him sit in his bed and read before he went to sleep)
"Binkie? Bed?" (said pleadingly)

(after James listed several items he likes)
Mom: "Do you like Dad?"
James: "Daddy loves me."

(after reading the story of Jonah)
"Whale is coming, whale is coming!!"

I plan to make this a regular post...adding the new things James says that we find funny. Love y'all!! Kris.
