Holiday Spirit

Last night after dinner we ate some pomegranate with the boys. How's that for festive? None of us besides Taylor had ever had pomegranate before so it was a fun and yummy activity. Luckily we had Taylor though or I might have been really confused. Pomegranates are weird. Everyone figured out how to eat them pretty well though. Although Matthias still ate almost all the seeds, but occasionally he would spit one out. (And no, my children never wear clothing at home. See this post.)

yummy! I made a delicious salad with pomegranate the other day, you should try it! Did you know my parents have a pomegranate tree? I miss them.

Oh, I love pomegranates. We used to have a tree in our backyard and so did Justin. Our family traditionally eats "Dixie Salad" every Thanksgiving which has apples, pomegranates, bananas, whipping cream, and marshmallows in it. It's the best! The lucky one is the one that gets to pick all the seeds out for the salad though!

I love pomegranate seeds. They're a bit of work to get to them, but so worth it.
