James Speak

Ask Matthias to take a nap before nap time because I hate being alone during personal time.

James singing...totally, totally, totally coo. totally, totally, totally cool. totally, totally, totally cool. You know that song I'm singing? It's a classical Power Rangers song.

after Taylor told him he had to wear lighter weight pjs

James: Can I wear my flannel pajamas?
Me: No. I'm on Dad's team.
James: Well. I'm on Matt's team and I don't LIKE him.

Happy Half Birthday to Hannah

August 20 was Hannah's half birthday and now our pretty princess is 6 months old. Per tradition our kids get their first sippy cup on their half birthdays.

17 lbs 2 oz
26.5 inches

She is an amazing sitter. She loves to eat 'real' food. Hannah has been very spoiled though and rarely eats her bottle if it isn't warmed up. My boys were never that picky or coddled! She loves to sit, but does not like laying down. So though both of the boys were crawling by this age, Hannah won't even lay down long enough to try. She just loves to sit. So she can roll, but honestly I think she's done it about five times since the first day she did. She just likes to sit and play. Which works out fine. I love walkers, but crawlers are sometimes hard...

Hannah likes her sippy cup and loves to look at books and wack the pages. She has figured out how to grab her head and now the cute headbands and hair flowers do not happen nearly as much as I would like! She is only taking two naps a day and just four bottles. She sleeps great at night...7 to 6 or 6:30. And a few weeks ago she was being super fussy, couldn't figure what was the problem and then on July 31 we're swimming and all of a sudden I feel teeth! The boys didn't teeth until 8-9 months so that didn't even cross my mind, but sure enough...fussy, runny nose, chewing. Teeth at five months.

Hannah is our cutie and we love her tons!!

Seriously Loving This House!

Finally some pictures. Between visiting Texas for 3 days, packing/moving, and slowly reading a complete series (5 books) I have been neglecting the blog. But here are some photos. We love this house. I really like it a lot. I LOVE ranches. One story is so the way to go. I only miss my gas stove. But the mailman actually delivers the mail in a slot into my house! No more walking down the block. The yard is huge and amazing...quarter acre. The kitchen is great despite the electric stove. We are LOVING the commute. 15 minutes without traffic, 20 with. Love it. We do prefer carpet to wood flooring, but this is much better than the nasty carpet we had. Plus we got to buy some fun new rugs. =] And I am loving only have two bathrooms (so much less intimidating to keep clean) Enjoy...

Our room

Boys' room

Hannah's room

Hall bathroom

Living room (we sold our spectacular couches for a whopping $20 on craigslist and have yet to buy new ones, but they are coming and will be a post of their own. We are going to purchase new furniture that has not be previously owned by anyone. Or even sat on by another person. It's truly amazing.)

Dining Room (we actually have a dining room we are using for dining...)

Kitchen

Basement (the finished half. the other half has laundry, half bath, storage, food room, Taylor's workshop)

I'm just sayin'

You feel like you're making progress until you turn around and 2 small boys have woken up a peaceful baby and you find toys ALL over the house. And then it looks like you haven't really done anything.

James Speak

(boys are in the shower, mom is in the hall dressing clean, fresh baby)

Mom hears James say..."Now this is going to be a little tight."

I run into the bathroom to see James tying a washcloth around Matthias' neck. For a cowboy look of course.

While shooting one another...

James: That's not working.
Matthias: Is working.
James: It's not killing me though.

And I just want to note that I'm fairly certain the Star Wars sound guys employed a bunch of toddler and preschool boys to make all the lightsaber noises. Why are boys so good at that? I've been shot down multiple times for my poor sound effects.

Happy Anniversary

Do we look like we were 14 or what?

At least now we might pass for 18. Maybe.

Happy 6 years Taylor! I love you!
