Last night we had book club at my house. The book we read and discussed was Wild Swans. It was my second time through and I really enjoyed it even more than the first time. This book is worth your time to read. It is so fascinating and enlightening. I always come away so grateful for my life and circumstances.
I also came away with an incredible desire to learn. To know, to understand. There is so much that has happened and is happening. So much knowledge I have not yet untapped. I am so excited to read and learn and know! So excited that at 10 pm I not only spent 1 1/2 hours talking to Taylor, but then read an excellent article in the Smithsonian about The Forbidden City in Bejing. And for those of you who know me, to give up sleep is not something I do.
I love learning and understanding.

I second that! Ditto! Ditto! Still have a few, okay a lot of pages to read, but I love it. I love the discussions as well!
I just found out that jimmy has read that book and really liked it alot.
I read that book this past summer and was blown away. It's amazing what China used to be like, the changes it has gone through, and what it's like today. I also felt incredibly grateful for living where I do and having the freedoms and understanding that are in the USA.
